"Tiny Tim" Spinning wheel

This is a smaller, one pedal spinning wheel. Like the "Suzie" it has ball bearings in the flywheel and spinning head, and uses the same bobbins, stretchy belt and flyer assembly.

Unlike the "Suzie", it has only one pedal, and while it folds into a smaller package (with it's own carrying handle), it can be locked into only one (upright) position for spinning.

It has 5 basic speed ratios, ranging from about 3 :1 up to about 12 to 1.

Even though the total weight of the spinning wheel is only about 9 lb. it is remarkably stable. They have engineered the wheel in such a manner that the force on the pedal is directed down between all four legs, thus giving it a good solid feel.

The small size of this spinning wheel would fit those who live in cramped quarters like campers, or mobile trailers. Intended as a traveling spinning wheel, it would be good to take to guild meetings and on trips. We met a lady who said that she flew on airplanes a lot and took her "Tiny Tim" with her so she could spin her time away, while on the plane!
